Our Story

How two very patient people
finally figured it out.

Nick and Kristine met in Oslo in 2017, which sounds romantic until you learn it took two full years for anyone to make a move — even though there was chemistry from day one. In 2019, they finally started dating — and were apparently so confident in the relationship that they decided to move to Bangkok together before their first anniversary. Bold strategy.

Then 2020 happened. While the rest of the world was figuring out sourdough, Nick and Kristine took a slight detour and started traveling. And kept traveling. 36 countries later, they've survived long-haul flights in middle seats, food poisoning in the Sahara Desert, and not having their own full-time apartment for over a year — which is honestly the more impressive feat, particularly if you know how tidy one of them likes to be, and how messy the other one is…

goes to the beach.

Because one night of celebration clearly isn't enough — we're heading to the Krabi area to ring in 2027, and you're all welcome to join.

The plan is for friends and family to be in the same area while everyone does their own thing. No itinerary, no obligations — just good people, warm water, and whatever trouble you can find.

Gifts

We don't have a registry.

Honestly, after 36 countries we've learned we're better with experiences than things — and having you in Bangkok with us is the best one yet.

If you still feel compelled to give something, we won't stop you. But your presence is more than enough.

The day
we met.

Oslo. Chemistry: undeniable. Action taken: none. Patience: infinite.

Meanwhile, everywhere else

They kept traveling.

Partly because they loved it. Partly because obtaining the right visa to actually live together in the same country turned out to be a multi-year bureaucratic adventure. As obstacles go, it had some very good scenery.

Above the

Sitting on a cliff edge above the fog. Romantic, yes. Slightly terrifying, also yes. A theme that would continue.

High altitude. Llamas in every direction. One of them is being swept off their feet — and it's not the one you'd expect.

Burma

On a river

A longboat, a very colourful blanket, and two people who had absolutely nowhere else to be. This is what 36 countries looks like.

Together in Norway

Then came the hard part

Until Kristine had to move
back to Norway.

And so began a long-distance relationship that has now lasted over three years — and counting. Different time zones, expensive flights, and more airport goodbyes than either of them care to admit. If anyone ever doubted the strength of what they have, the receipts are in their flight history.

She said yes.

At the top of a mountain on the border of Slovakia and Poland, Nick proposed. Kristine said yes — possibly because he made sure she was sitting at the edge of a cliff before he asked.

Now they're getting married in Bangkok — the city where it all really started. And you're invited.

Plot twist

Kristine relocated
to Madrid.

Better weather. Still no green card — but at least the tapas are excellent. The plan was to wait out the immigration process somewhere with sunshine. The process had other ideas.

Still waiting.
Still smiling.

The green card hasn't arrived. So they did the next logical thing: planned a wedding so undeniably beautiful that the US government simply cannot say no. Bangkok, December 2026 — your move, immigration.
